About This Site
ReviewHive is just me — a solo developer and affiliate marketer who got tired of review sites that are either obviously SEO-farmed garbage or "media company" content with a clear agenda toward whatever pays the most.
I started this as a side project. I'm a dev by trade, which means I actually read spec sheets, I understand what the numbers mean, and I have a low tolerance for marketing nonsense. I pick products I'm genuinely curious about, spend real time with them, and write up what I actually think.
What This Site Is
A solo affiliate blog. I research and write about products across tech, gear, and lifestyle. When you buy through my links I make a small commission — that's how the site pays for itself. I'm upfront about this because I'd rather you know than wonder.
There's no "editorial team." There's no PR department. There are no brand deals where I agree to say nice things in exchange for money. It's one person's honest opinion, which means it's sometimes wrong and always mine.
How I Pick What to Cover
Mostly: things I was already looking into buying, or categories where I noticed the existing coverage was bad. If every review of a product is a thinly-veiled press release, I figure there's room for something more useful.
I don't cover everything. I'd rather go deep on a smaller set of products than publish shallow takes on everything with an Amazon listing.
On Affiliate Links
Yes, I use them. Yes, I make money when you click and buy. No, this doesn't change what I think about the products — if anything, recommending bad stuff would kill the site faster than not recommending anything at all. The incentive structure actually works in your favor here.
